Conditioning
Conditioning buying guide
Build a conditioning space around the movements you genuinely want to practise. Solid Strength’s range includes speed ropes, weighted bags, sleds, parallettes and more. A clear session plan, enough floor space and the number of people training at once will tell you more than a broad product list.
Plan the stations before buying equipment
Write down a typical session and identify what each station needs. A skipping station needs different clearance from a sled lane, while bag work needs room to lift and put the load down. For group sessions, count simultaneous users rather than buying one of everything.
- Choose the bag format for the job: handled power bags, strongman sandbags or a multi-person worm
- Match bodyweight stations to the planned movements using parallettes, rings or a suitable pull-up setup
- Decide whether equipment stays in place or needs to move between sessions
Plan the transitions and the tidy-up
The equipment needs to fit both the workout and the room when the session ends. Mark out usable space, allowing for moving ropes, loaded carries and access around each station. Check mounting requirements for suspended equipment and floor compatibility for sleds. A package can be a useful starting point when its contents match your sessions; compare the included weights and quantities with your actual equipment list.
Frequently asked questions
What conditioning equipment should I buy first?
Start with the equipment your existing sessions require. Portable items can suit a shared space, while a dedicated sled or suspended station needs its layout and installation considered first.
Is a conditioning package better than buying individual items?
Compare the package contents against your list. A package makes sense when the included pieces and weight choices are useful to you; individual items are more practical for filling a specific gap.
