Common questions

Powerlifting questions

Equipment choices, training spaces and delivery, explained.

01Which barbell should I buy for powerlifting?

The Solid Strength 20 kg Powerlifting Barbell is the dedicated option for squat, bench and deadlift, with a 29 mm shaft and centre knurl. Its product guidance excludes Olympic lifting. If you also train cleans or snatches, compare the other barbell options for that work.

02How do I choose plates for powerlifting training?

Choose a total weight that supports your planned lifts, then check how much sleeve space the plates use. Fractional plates allow smaller increases. Our plate range lists the available options; if you need a particular competition specification, confirm it with us before ordering.

03Do you supply powerlifting clubs and gyms?

Yes. We supply racks, benches, bars, plates, storage and flooring for clubs and gyms. Tell us how many lifters will train at once and what equipment you already have, then ask about trade pricing. Design and supply are nationwide; installation is Auckland only.

04Do you deliver outside Auckland?

Yes. Check freight through checkout and review our delivery information for any extra heavy-item or rural charges. Collection from our Auckland warehouse must be arranged in advance.

Fitting out a full space?
