Hand Protection
Hand Protection buying guide
Choose hand protection around your hands and the sessions you actually run. Compare Solid Strength pull-up grips, Gecko Grips, three-finger grips and finger tape by measurement, coverage and the bars or rings you use. Each format fits and applies differently.
Get the fit and coverage right
Compare palm coverage, finger-hole layout where applicable and the way a grip fastens at the wrist. Follow the sizing instructions for that model rather than carrying a glove size across automatically. Tape is a separate format: its width affects the area each strip covers and how you can position it.
- Use the model's hand-measurement method before selecting a size
- Match the grip design to your preferred hand position
- Choose a listed tape width for the area and application you need
Match it to your equipment
Read the product guidance for the bars or rings you use, including material or surface limitations. Follow the instructions for putting grips on and fastening them; an unfamiliar design may need a different fit from an old pair. Check care and inspection guidance, and store grips and tape where they stay clean. Hand accessories do not replace appropriate equipment setup or sound technique.
Frequently asked questions
Are pull-up grips and finger tape interchangeable?
No. They are different ways to add coverage. Grips have a shaped palm section and model-specific fastening; tape is applied to a chosen area. Compare the product instructions and your preferred application rather than treating them as identical.
How should I select a pull-up grip size?
Use the measurement guide for the exact grip model. Finger layout, palm length and wrist fastening vary between designs. If you fall between options, check the maker's guidance before choosing.
