Solid Strength Gecko Grips

Introducing the Solid Strength Gecko Grips. The grips we’ve been putting through rigorous testing in our CrossFit gym since 2019 (and modifying, testing, modifying, and re-testing) are FINALLY ready! We set out to create the best grips possible — and to make them locally here in Aotearoa NZ. And we think we succeeded.

We’ve put countless hours into designing, testing, and bringing these grips to the market. A local upholsterer with over 50 years of experience has hand-made every single pair of Gecko grips to the highest specifications.

The material is grippy on both powder coated and galvanised pull-up bars (as well as barbells, rings, and just about anything else), and these grips don't need chalk to grip and stick to the bar.  With a 3-finger grip design, you have the choice to use these grips with or without your fingers through the holes. The grips are secured around the wrist with an easy on/off velcro strap. The velcro strap also has a small folded tab at the end which keeps it from sliding out of the loop — meaning you won’t need to fiddle around to put the strap back in. Our Gecko Grips also come with a free mesh carry bag!

Whether you’re doing butterfly pull-ups, kipping pull-ups, ring work, or just looking for superior palm protection these will help you get those last few reps out of every workout. Our Gecko Grips come in small, medium, and large. If you prefer your grips to have a large fold (or dowel) when you're using them, we recommend sizing up.

Use this measurement guide to get the correct size:

Start from the joint between your hand and wrist. You should see a crease line in the skin. Making sure your hand is completely straight (not curved or cupped inward or outward), measure from the joint up your palm and to the base of your middle finger.

Small: 7-9cm
Medium: 9-11cm
Large: 11-13cm
